My background

I am a solicitor in Queensland, Australia. I hold a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Business (Management) from the Queensland University of Technology, and have practised since 2008.

I am a nationally accredited mediator in Australia and a member of the Resolution Institute.

For nearly 20 years, I have worked directly as a defence lawyer. I have written the letters and advices, had the arguments that arise in difficult matters, and managed public- and private-sector clients ranging from large to small enterprises. This gives me a practical understanding of what is involved in a dispute and what it costs to pursue one.

Approach

Mediation is an opportunity for a focused, useful conversation. I bring experience in litigation and client management, with an emphasis on preparation, clarity and workable outcomes.

I also bring lived experience of disability. I hope that perspective contributes to thoughtful discussions and helps parties find a way forward.

I am a non-executive director of Blind Sports Australia. I represented Australia in goalball for 13 years, which has also given me experience in sports integrity matters and conflict management.
